Pedagogy of Peace within the Scenario of the Public Education in Colombia: A Successful Academic Model

Abstract

This paper presents the project "Education without borders", carried out by the direction of “Institución Universitaria Tecnológico de Antioquia —TdeA—” between 2008 and 2010 for the expansion of coverage in higher education in Antioquia sub-regions. The paper reviews the platform of development plans in the department of Antioquia and TdeA; it presents the regionalization model in higher education and shows program statistics. Municipalities addressed are analysed, as well as academic programs, correspondence between the program and the economic vocation in town, and so on. It ends by analyzing financial issues in the regionalization model and concludes with the main challenges of the model.

Administrador de Empresas de la Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia y Magíster en Administración – Universidad EAFIT. Especialista en Finanzas Públicas- Escuela superior de administración pública. Especialista en Banca y Finanzas del Instituto de estudios Bursatiles IEB - Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Actual Rector de la Institucion Universitaria Tecnologico de Antioquia, profesor titular e investigador, conferencista en diferentes eventos financieros, hacienda pública, presupuestos públicos y finanzas públicas.

Jorge Anibal Restepo Morales, Institución Universitaria Tecnológico de Antioquía

Ingeniero Administrador de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, MBA de la universidad EAFIT, diploma de estudios avanzados de la Universidad San pablo CEU y candidato a Doctor de la última. Docente Investigador y director del grupo de investigación RED, ponente en diferentes eventos internacionales con temas de competitividad y riesgo financiero y operativo.
