MEDICINE IS NOT ENOUGH: THE SOCIAL SCIENCES IN THE FACE OF PANDEMICS

From their own vantage point, medical professionals appear as the great voices that speak about diseases and pandemics. Without disqualifying that space, SOCIALreview. International Social Sciences Review / Revista Internacional de Ciencias Sociales (revSOCIAL) proposes a monographic number with reflections and debates from History, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Politics, around pandemic contexts.

Although the COVID-19 outbreak is the basis of our efforts, this issue, referring to Volume 10, Issue 1, to be published in spring 2021, welcome quantitative or qualitative analyzes of the impact of this and other pandemics. Emphasizing collective and individual health and its social, psychological, and cultural repercussions, from diverse and broad theoretical perspectives, and applicable to different segments of humanity.
