Abstract

Resilience, or the successful adaptation achieved by an individual despite having gone through very adverse or traumatic situations during their childhood, has become a concept of great importance in recent years both in the field of mental health and drug addictions. Understanding how these people achieve a normal level of functioning, without developing personal or psychopathological problems in their adolescence or adulthood, is highly relevant for the prevention and treatment of different disorders.
